Ben and Tes

Ben and I started our journey to financial freedom in 2018. Since then, we have learned so much about working together, being content, and choosing joy every day. One of my greatest concerns at the start of our journey was not wanting to put our life on hold for years until we were debt free. What I learned in the process was that you can choose to fully live life every day with and without money to spend. One of our favorite dates was looking for giant whelk shells and mako shark teeth near our home. When we found a mako shark tooth we would yell “Money”. Hints the name Money Makos. We value those shark teeth like precious jewels. Not just because we are nerds and we think they are cool, but because of the memories they bring and all that they represent to us. Those teeth represent how we escape the grips of the shark loans and instead find value in the company of each other, the things in life that are free, and the character traits that the journey to financial freedom developed in us.
